SNOPA International Dance Weekend 2026!

SNOPA 2026 is back, and we want you to join us! Mark your planners for Feb 20 – 22, 2025 at Camp St. Croix in Hudson, Wisconsin. The residential camp is located just across the Mississippi from Minnesota, near St. Paul/Minneapolis. The 2026 theme is “U Šest Side Story”.
SNOPA Folkdance Weekends Inc. is a residential winter weekend, bringing dancers international workshops with 3 midwestern teachers, lodging and meals, social hour, singing and instrumental sessions, and dance parties (live music on Saturday). In 2026 thematic or folk costumes are encouraged! Preregistration required; registration deadline is Feb 3, 2026.
Founded in 1909, Camp St. Croix is situated on 400 acres of woods, prairies, gardens, and pine-covered bluffs overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River National Scenic Riverway. The camp’s natural trails and their beautiful facilities make this a perfect place for dancing, while connecting with nature and folk dance friends.
Our 2026 Camp we promise will be pretty cool! Welcome to Camp St. Croix in Hudson, WI for SNOPA 2026! This Twin Cities-sponsored weekend brings dancing, teaching, socializing, and reconnecting with other dancers from across the Midwest.
And that night, won’t be like any night.
For on Saturday night we are featuring the dynamic six-person international ensemble, Orkestar Bez Ime!
This year, we’ll have a Silent Auction and Sale Fundraiser all day Saturday. See below for information on items. Your donated items or services for the sale are welcome!
SNOPA! 2026 will feature:
● Dance workshops featuring three terrific teachers (Dan Garvin, Paul Wagner, and Elena Momtcheva), with opportunities to cement your learning
● Dance party Friday evening, to recorded music.
● Social hour/group sing/instrument jam on Saturday afternoon (see below for download information.
● Dance party Saturday evening featuring Orkestar Bez Ime; wear a theme-related or favorite folk dance outfit if you wish! Request dancing follows OBI, as late as you dare!
● A Silent Auction and Fundraising Sale all day Saturday
● Sunday dance reviews
● Meals and lodging
● And lots of singing, dancing, playing, and just general SNOPA
