NFO GRANTS

At the NFO Conference held in Muncie, Indiana, in 2001, a vision was conceived and the foundation was laid for a fund that would one day provide grants and scholarships which would support the mission of the National Folk Organization of America. In February of 2015, the NFO Board announced the establishment of two different types of grants:

  • THE NFO DISCOVERY GRANT

  • THE NFO FOLK ART GRANT

THE DISCOVERY GRANTis designed to help pay for travel expenses to educational folk-related events such as Pourparler, Stockton Folk Dance Camp, Mainewood Camp, international festivals, etc. Multiple awards, up to $500 each, are available three times annually for the serious folk enthusiast.

May 1 for events from July 1 to December 31 of the same year
