THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE: We toured of The International Institute,a local organization connected to the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). It helps more than a million immigrants each year with things like resettlement, job placement, English classes, citizenship, legal services, small business development, housing, youth and elderly support, and cultural activities. It also serves as a valuable resource to national policy makers, local communities, governmental bodies, and human service agencies.
